  • Cortina acquires Intel Corp.'s optical network component business, gaining over 1,800 customers worldwide with more than 300 products.
  • Company opens facilities in Folsom, CA and Research Triangle Park, NC to enhance customer service, and research and development capabilities.
  • Cortina becomes #1 provider of FEC chips for Transport and Metro markets.
2007
  • Company acquires Immenstar, a provider of passive optical networking system-on-chip technology, to extend its leadership across multiple markets with products that combine intelligent bandwidth, the highest density and the lowest power requirements.
  • Cortina continues international expansion, opening offices in China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan.
