Fiber to the home Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) must have the capability to ensure the bandwidth, delay, and jitter requirements of each subscribed services are met according to the traffic profile extracted from the Service Level Agreement (SLA).  Cortina embeds multiple functionalities in a single chip including SerDes, on-chip memory and highly optimized QOS algorithms, to enable a wide range of Quality-of-Service and traffic management services in a cost effective ONU silicon.
