06/16/2008 Cortina Systems, Inc.: "Cortina Systems Names Harold Hughes Chairman of Cortina's Board of Directors"
 Sunnyvale, Calif., June 16, 2008 — Cortina Systems, Inc. (Cortina™), a fast-growing leader of intelligent communication solutions, today announced that long-time board member Harold Hughes has been appointed Chairman of the Cortina Board of Directors, effective May 22, 2008.

Mr. Hughes brings to Cortina more than 30 years of experience in the industry including past service as corporate officers for major, multi-national semiconductor companies, and current service as CEO of Rambus, Inc. Prior to joining Rambus, Mr. Hughes was the Chairman and CEO of Pandesic LLC, an Intel and SAP joint venture. He served as a United States Army Officer before starting his private sector career with Intel Corporation in 1974. Mr. Hughes held a variety of positions during his 23 years at Intel Corporation, including Treasurer, the head of the Intel Capital division, Chief Financial Officer, and the head of Planning and Logistics.

Mr. Hughes holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
