Sunnyvale, Calif., October 3, 2007 — Cortina Systems, Inc (Cortina), one of the fastest-growing suppliers of intelligent communications solutions for network equipment manufacturers, today named James Mao the new general manager of the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Mao has worked in global telecommunication and networking companies for more than 17 years. Prior to joining Cortina, Mr. Mao held executive and general manager positions in both public and start up companies, such as UTStarcom, Turin Networks, Pegasus, and Nortel. ‘We are extremely pleased to bring on board another key executive chartered to expand Cortina’s global footprint.
